I have a fidanza flywheel, so I have to launch higher than a stock flywheel equipped car. On a stock flywheel at the dragstrip:
Picture yourself trying to go up a hill. This all happens REALLY fast, and it is sometimes hard to tell the difference in between a 2.0 60 foot and a 1.90 60 foot, but once you hit a 1.8 or better, you REALLY start to feel it.
If you are on the street, subtract at least 1000rpm from your dragstrip launch rpm. The track is MUCH stickier than the street.
Practice really helps, just try not to launch in front of a cop.
